Where did the name WABS come from?

The history behind the name of WABS

WABS Designs got its name from a late night drawing session one night. While playing around with names that I could call this project, I started drawing up logos. To start out I began by drawing a large W for my last name, Walbert. Shortly after I had created the original WABS Designs logo! Though I had a logo I still did not have a name yet. I had a W for my last name but I refused to call it 'Walbert' anything. Luckily, my last name isn't the only name I have that starts with a 'W.' For my entire life I had a nickname I was called frequently, this was Wabs Jr. The reason I was a a Jr with this name was that my Dads popular name around his home of Aspen, Colorado was Wabs. The name didn't stop with just us, two of my cousins were also called Wabs by may of their friends. It is a name that is just as important to my family as our last name is. My Dad ran great business for many years in the restaurant sector. From buying his first restaurant for a dollar down with his best friend, to being in the business for close to 40 years. I knew that naming my passion project a name that was so important to me and my family, but also showed respect to a man who showed me what hard work is and how much it takes to run your own business and follow your dreams. That is why I named this brand WABS Designs, and why I go by Wabs Jr.
