Who Runs This Thing?
Daniel ' Wabs Jr.' Walbert is a Colorado native born and raised in the Rocky Mountains. He grew up in Aspen Colorado where he graduated the local public High School in 2010. From there he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Here he attended the University of British Columbia for a short time. While here, Daniel studied Film Studies and Graphic Design, though never obtained a degree. After years of hard partying and causing trouble everywhere, Daniel moved back to the United States where he bounced around from Boulder, Aspen, Denver, and New Mexico. Eventually he finally settled down back in the Roaring Fork Valley. This is where he began the creation of WABS Designs. Though he had been evolving his graphic design work for years, in the fall of 2015 everything was put in place to create a brand for his next level design work. Soon after conceptualizing the brand, the focus of 'work' turned to screen printing. Starting with zero knowledge of the screen printing process, Daniel purchased an entry-level production model screen printing gear and started teaching himself. Taking out his entire dining room in his small two bedroom trailer, he over took his home and turned it into a full production sized screen printing studio. Making his first round of t-shirts and clothing, Daniel pinned down what he loved about screen printing and how he could create his own unique prints to make his brand stand out. Though a talented graphic designer, he noticed he needed to change gears a bit. Years of work and trying new and different techniques, WABS had formed into a new beast with designs made especially for clothing. Later moving to Denver, he suffered from serious health issues and eventually become disabled due to complications after being trampled at the last Warped Tour. It was time for WABS had to take a break. After hard work and serious dedication the WABS Brand has come back stronger, darker, and better than ever.
